JEREMIAH - WONG

IMG_7082.jpg

M. Pa'iekulani M. Jeremiah-Wong is a cultural artisan of native Hawaiian and Maori descent. Raised in Hawai'i, Kulani learned everything about Aotearoa directly from her mother, who is an indigenous Maori from Aotearoa. She has taught Maori culture alongside her mother for more than 25 years and after her mother's

ascension, now teaches Maori in honor of her to groups in both the United States and Japan.

Today Kulani uses both Hawaiian and Maori protocols to keep her grounded to her cultures and ancestors by using their teaching to maintain connectivity in a traditional way. With the goal of supporting others and giving back to her community, Kulani offers workshops where attendees can learn more about Hawaiian and Maori cultures through their stories, songs, and dances.
